Why should blind and low vision customers spend thousands of dollars on assistive technology to connect with the world? At Serotek we believe accessibility is a universal right, and we work hard day in and day out to ensure our products help you get the most of any computer. Our solutions are more affordable, convenient and easy-to-use than the typical competition.

Reasons to consider Serotek

  • We feature American-based customer and technical support.
  • We openly challenge the traditional assistive technology industry to beat our prices.
  • Cross-platform accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not an overlooked concept.
  • People who use Serotek products have the distinct advantage of our remote training and support services regardless of the third-party screen reader of the opposite user.
  • As a company predominantly run by blind staff, we are active consumers of our own products.

But, don't take our word for it. Get to know the Serotek culture. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised. And, if you're curious, Download a trial of our software and give it a sppin.

The Serotek Ambassadors' Club

How many companies do you know share their profit with loyal customers? No, we’re not talking affiliate programs where anyone can sign up willy-nilly to sell products they’ve never used. We’re talking about our very own customers selling the same products they use and trust day in and day out. It’s our Serotek Ambassadors’ Club. If you haven’t heard, or haven’t signed up, click here to learn more.

The New Socializer

Don’t you just hate it when Facebook, Twitter and other favorite social networks break accessibility? Well, we do too, so we set out to do something about it.

In addition to the features you’ve come to know and love from our SAMNet service, such as SAMNet voice chat, support for Windows Live, Yahoo and AIM messenger services, here are just a few of the features we’ve added to the brand-new Socializer:

  • Voice and text chatting via Skype.
  • Support for Facebook chat.
  • Ability to add multiple accounts on all supported services.
  • Support for custom Jabber accounts.
  • Extended Facebook feed support, including liking and replying to statuses, browsing your friends’ walls, and opening links in wall posts.
  • Extended support for Twitter, including instantaneous feed updates.
  • Ability to change controls for each account, such as sign-in status.

The great news is that this update is free to those who already have a current SAMNet or Accessibility Anywhere subscription. All you need to do is log in, connect any social networking account that isn’t already visible in the Socializer, and you are set to start following, chatting and more!

Serotek’s Screen Reader

A screen reader is a text to speech application that renders elements on a computer screen through synthetic speech. The application relies on a series of keystrokes to replicate mouse functionality, and through these easy keystrokes you can navigate menus, adjust system settings, and surf the Internet. System Access, Serotek’s award-winning screen reader, is the perfect solution for the computer novice and expert alike. Whether you require speech, text enlargement, or Braille access, System Access is your reliable companion at home, in the class, or on the job.

Join the Community with SAMNet

The System Access Mobile Network, or SAMNet, is Serotek’s renowned online community that provides people information and entertainment from around the world. Through this service you can send and receive email, listen to streaming radio stations, text and voice chat with friends, hear audio-described movies, catch up with today’s news, and much more! You can join the fun with either monthly or yearly subscription plans.

Hear the Printed Word with DocuScan Plus

What’s the best way to keep up with your daily mail and stay current with the books and magazines you love?”. The affordable DocuScan Plus lets you scan newspapers, books, magazines, bills, brochures, and other mail. In moments the application will speak aloud the words that were previously difficult or impossible to read. All you need is an off-the-shelf scanner, DocuScan Plus, and a Windows or Apple Macintosh computer. With DocuScan Plus, asking for sighted assistance to read hard copy is yesterday’s news.

Entertainment on the Go

These days it’s no longer necessary for you to be stuck in front of your computer to be productive. With the iBlink Radio app, you can find news and entertainment from just about anywhere. Music, Radio Reading services from around the U.S. or the best in talk radio from those in the Blind community with the SeroTalk Podcast Network. You can discover all this and more by downloading the free iBlink Radio app from Google Play or the iOS App Store.

Serotek in the Classroom

At Serotek we set out to level the playing field for all students by offering our System Access software to those in grades K-12 for free. In the 21st century there’s no excuse for anyone to fall behind because they cannot interact with computers.

Serotek in the Workplace

Many companies are turning to the internet for conducting meetings as it saves time and money. Sadly, most common solutions for webinars and internet meetings are hard to use for the blind and visually impaired. Accessible Event is an internet meeting program that can be used with a company’s existing software, or used on its own, for providing voice and data presentations. Whether for work or play, Serotek has the best tools to help you stay connected anywhere your profession may take you.

What Customers Say

"Excellent direction of your company. Access is a right! Please stress that even more in your literature. Access is a civil right! I believe assistive tech companies fail to emphasize this fact. With SA To Go, accessing computers is no longer a barrier. That's how it should be! Frankly, if the competition fails to take seriously what you have accomplished, you have every right to "kill" it!"--D. Mandell
